That's Doug and Annie getting in a game of ladder ball in Indiana. What picnic games do you play? The object is to get the golf ball ropes to hang on the posts like you see the orange ones do. The higher the post, the more the points. Annie is throwing hers to a ladder about 20 feet away.

This sculpture is in front of PF Chang's in Scottsdale. It's called "The Doors". Beautiful as you drive by, but just as interesting on the inside. So, get out of your car and step on in.

Here's a photo with me in it of the mirrored interior. I woke up this morning to seeing this picture and a story about us Arizona photo bloggers on the cover of the Valley & State section of our Arizona Republic. And while you are inside you'll get to hear sounds like this.

I love this picture. It's three mirrors in a triangle formation. I took a picture of one mirror with the other two behind me. No photo shop or anyother darkroom magic. Just a camera and 5 seconds of my time.

The Chandler Beach

Few people know this, but Chandler has ocean side property. Yeah, we have Tempe and Phoenix as part of our border. But, just a bit to the southwest is the beach. A tiny sliver of the Gulf of California comes this far north. We don't like to advertise it, because we like our beach without tourists. Look on a map and you'll see Indian Reservation, but don't be fooled. Look on Google Earth and you'll see lots of sand. It's photoshopped. Yes, there's sand and yes it looks like the desert, but it's the ocean.

This is the third month that light rail has been open. I took this picture just weeks after it opened and already people realized they could leave their all day pass for others to use. This machine sells the tickets.

A Short History of the McCullough-Price House

"The house was built in 1938 by William D. McCullough, a Detroit resident who wintered at the San Marcos Hotel in the mid 1930s. Designed by well-known architects Lescher and Mahoney, the home had four bedrooms, maid's quarters, a roof patio, and built-in barbecue in the back yard. The house sat in the middle of 350 acres of alfalfa and cotton fields, placed half a mile from Price Road. The home eventually was purchased by the Lockhead family, managers of the Pecos Valley Milling Company, located at Pecos Road and the railroad tracks east of Arizona Avenue. When the home was vacant for several years, the San Marcos Hotel rented the home to visitors."*
