Last Sunday was the 8th running of the Lost Dutchman Marathon and Half Marathon. I took this picture while running the half.

Here I am with an actor playing Jacob Waltz, the Dutchman who had a goldmine in the Superstition Mtns back in the late 1800's.

Yesterday was a sunset in Chandler. Today, a sunrise at the Lost Dutchman Marathon in Apache Junction.

Scouting

Give me a big lake, a big ball and a friend. This is one of a string of lakes to the east of metro Phoenix. My son's scout troop camped right on the lake, canoed around the inlet and saw more stars than I had ever seen. Also, more skunks.
